Victim Involvement in PPANI

What is the PPANI Victim Advisory Sub Group?

Victim safety, preventing re-victimisation and avoiding the creation of new victims is fundamental to the effective fulfilment of public protection through PPANI.  Although the primary focus of PPANI is to manage the risk presented by an offender, the impact and further protection of the victim is a core issue discussed at the LAPPP meetings. The PPANI agencies have ongoing links with those working with and for the needs of victims. The Strategic Management Board has established a Victim Advisory Sub Group which provides a forum to inform, educate and ensure policy and practice across the strategic and operational working of PPANI has victim issues integral to its functions.
